Christmas Events in Destin
Let the countdown to Christmas begin! If you are staying with us in our Cottages this holiday season, we are so excited to host you! Whether this is an annual family tradition or you’re trying out something new this year, Christmas on the Emerald Coast is always a treat. Despite everything this year has given us, Christmas events in Destin are still going strong. We’re looking forward to yearly traditions like the Destin Boat Parade and seeing the lights at Destin Commons and Grand Boulevard. There really is nothing like Christmas at the beach! Take a look below at some of our favorite Christmas events in Destin to check out while you are celebrating the holidays with us.
- Harbor Boat Parade – This is a Destin favorite! Grab your coat and some hot chocolate on December 13th and take the short stroll from our Cottages to the Destin Harbor. You’ll get the chance to see Destin’s fleet come to life with festive lights and displays for the holiday season. Santa & Mrs. Clause are expected to make a guest appearance at the Harbor Boat Parade too. Stick around for a festive fireworks show at the end!
- Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl – Don your ugliest holiday sweaters and head to Coyote Ugly for their annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl and Ugly Sweater Contest this Saturday, December 5th, from 6:30-10 PM. There will be drink specials, bingo, live music, and more! Donations for bingo cards benefit the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). You can also bring a toy for Emerald Coast Toys for Tots Fill the Boat Drive.
- Destin Christmas Parade – Another favorite Christmas event in Destin is the Destin Christmas Parade. Taking place in Downtown Destin on Saturday, December 12th at 10 AM, you won’t want to miss out! This year’s theme is “Joy to the World.” We could all use some holiday joy right now, so the theme couldn’t be more perfect! The parade begins at the Downtown Destin Shopping Center and heads west down Harbor Boulevard towards Stahlman Avenue. It’s sure to be full of holiday cheer!
