Mattie Kelly Arts Festival in Destin – Happening This Weekend!
We’ve been sad to see several of our favorite events in Destin canceled this year, so we are excited that the Mattie Kelly Arts Festival in Destin is happening! This is a great event to attend if you are staying at our Cottages by the Bay this weekend. Held on October 24-25, this annual event has several new safety measures in place. Event organizers are optimistic that this will allow the event to be a success. In addition to 10 feet of space between festival tents, here are some ways you can stay safe:
- Maintain a six-foot distance between your group and others.
- Be respectful of those waiting in line for food and keep a distance if you’re in line too.
- Bring your own hand sanitizer! Wash your hands frequently as well.
- Although the event is outdoors, participants are asked and encouraged to wear a mask.
At the Mattie Kelly Arts Festival in Destin, there will be over 65 artists from all over the country. These artists will showcase their skills in acrylic art, jewelry making, photography, and more! The lineup could not be any more diverse! You’ll even be able to meet the artists and learn the inspiration behind their work. Additionally, live entertainment is included in your admission fee. Grab your favorite snack from local food trucks as well! There will also be beer and wine for sale at the festival.
Festival hours are on Saturday from 9 AM – 5 PM, and 10 AM – 4 PM on Sunday. Admission is only $5! Admission is free for Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation members and children under 12. The cost of your ticket provides funding for the foundation community and outreach initiatives.
