Cottages by the Bay is located directly in the heart of old Destin. This plot of land has a rich history behind it, dating back to 1952. We purchased the 3/4 acre of land in August 2015 and renovated each cottage with serenity and relaxation in mind. During the renovation process we worked to remember where the cottages came from. In doing this we made sure each cottage had a touch of charm.
We are targeting many different groups including wedding parties, vacationers, and even the work force. We feel as though Cottages by the Bay would be the perfect location for a corporate retreat. The cottages are able to accommodate up to 44 people making it easy to host large or small parties.
With the Bay House, our event venue, right across the street, we are able to not only provide a place to stay but also a meeting location. There is room for catering food, sit-down meetings and the green space out back would be perfect for team building activities. The Bay House has access to the Choctawhatchee Bay making it easy for you and your group to enjoy outdoor activities. This could include paddle boarding and kayaking. Cottages by the Bay could also host events on the green space surrounding the cottages. Beautiful trees and the famous Florida sunshine would make for a great day and a peaceful environment to inspire new ideas. After the meeting has ended, walk over to HarborWalk Village. You will find that even though the cottages are close to the excitement there is still a sense of privacy. This secluded feel will be useful when strategizing and also relaxing.
