Sunscreen and Lip Balm

You might think that packing sunscreen is a no-brainer, but most people forget to bring lip balm with SPF. It is so important to not only apply sunscreen multiple times a day but don’t forget that lips get sunburnt too!

Beach Towels

It is a good idea to bring a couple of extra towels as people tend to get in and out of the water when retrieving something from the boat, such as a drink or to reapply sunscreen. We recommend bringing two towels per person.

Water Resistant Phone Pouch

When visiting Crab Island in Destin you will spend the majority of your time in the water. You don’t want to miss out on taking pictures of your kids enjoying the activities on Crab Island, so bring a water-resistant phone pouch to keep your phone dry.

Sunglasses & Beach Hat

Crab Island does not have much when it comes to shade from the sun. Bring sunglasses and a beach hat for the adults and kids in your group to make sure they can play in the water until the sun goes down!

Tumbler or Tervis

You will be so glad you brought a cup to Crab Island in Destin! As you walk around in the knee-high water, you will want something to keep your drink cool. Make sure it has a lid, so when your kids are splashing around, the Bay water won’t get in your cup.

Cooler

Crab Island has food and drinks available for purchase, however, bringing a cooler stocked with water is always a plus. Your kids will spend so much time in the sun, and playing on the activities in Crab Island, having water for them to refuel is highly recommended.

Football & Frisbee

Crab Island has many different activities for your kids to enjoy, however it may be nice to bring a football or frisbee to throw around as you wade in the water.

Floaties

People who have been to Crab Island in Destin will tell you that bringing floaties and tying them to your boat is the ultimate way to relax. You can enjoy the coolness of the water, sunbathe in the Florida sunshine, and still be able to watch your kids as they play.

Trash Bags

Whenever you go boating, whether that is to Crab Island or just taking a trip around Choctawhatchee Bay, it is always a good idea to bring trash bags. There will not be a place to throw away garbage when hanging out at Crab Island.

Cash

Vendors at Crab Island are able to accept card payments, but cash is preferred. Pro Tip: You can store your cash in your water-resistant phone pouch!
