The Destin Fishing Rodeo began in May of 1948 with the hope of bringing people to Destin. It worked and even in its 73rd year, it is one event people flood to the area to enjoy. It lasts the entire month of October and is free to the public. Each evening, make sure to head on down to the docks and watch as fishing boats pull up and showcase what they caught that day. Make sure to bring your camera because you won’t want to forget the massive fish that are brought in.
